Our Story:

In 2007 the combined classes of 1967,1968,1969, and 1970 joined together for a weekend of getting reacquainted, reminiscing, and enjoying each others’ company. Many of those attending agreed we had been the fortunate recipients of a superior education in an environment at Wheaton North that gave us memories and friendships for a life time.

Over the months following the reunion, a dedicated group of alumni worked hard to establish the WNHS Alumni Association. In the coming months you will receive additional information about membership and programs.

Our main purpose at this time is to encourage alumni to give back to current Wheaton North students.  In the Spring of 2009, a few very generous alumni made possible the award of two scholarships honoring Coach Richard Helm and Mr. Martin Brackin, each in the amount of $2,500 to graduating seniors.  Our goal for 2010 is to more than double the number of donors as we again honor Mr. Helm and Mr. Brackin as well as Ms. Anita Brechtel and Coach James Rexilius.  In 2011 our scholarships were dedicated to the memory of one of the founding members of the WNHSAA Rick Reinert. These four educators and Rick helped establish the foundation of ‘excellence in education’ that has served the Wheaton North High School community for well over 40 years.

There are two ways for you to donate to the Scholarship Fund. One is to go to the WNHS website www.wnhs-aa.org and use Pay Pal (button to the right).  The other is to mail a check to WNHS Alumni Association at P.O. Box 1024 , Wheaton, IL 60187.  All donations are tax deductible.

Please re-visit this website often for further information regarding our honorees.  We hope you will feel as strongly about this effort as we do. We were the beneficiaries of the generosity of generations who came before us, and it is our pleasure to assist a few of today’s students who have made positive contributions and who would benefit from some financial aid.
